PAL/NTSC/RS170-to-STANAG3350 Converter

The COMPSTANAG is a scan converter module that accepts analog PAL/NTSC/RS-170 video for conversion to high-quality STANAG 3350 compliant signals. Analog video can be converted from either composite or S-video input to STANAG3350 Class A/B/C signaling.

The COMPSTANAG features high-speed analog signal digitization, video scaling and frame rate conversion, and a timing generator. This provides seamless and automatic conversion of PAL/NTSC video to Interlaced RGB output conforming to STANAG 3350 requirements.

The STANAG 3350 video is output as separate red, green, blue signals with the video synchronization pulses embedded in the green signal. The VGASTANAG can be factory configured for Class A, Class B or Class C operation allowing it to be used immediately with no additional setup required.

The COMPSTANAG is an intelligent stand-alone device with its own on-board MPU and does not require a host CPU or any special device driver software. For mechanical convenience, it can be mounted on a PCI-104 stack but will not consume any host CPU resources.
